Science and Faith: Oil and Water
People always assume that science and faith never go along with each other. They think that religious people hate scientists and activists, and scientists hate priests and religious personas. However, those two are different from each other. They are not at odds because, in the first place, they are not similar. To differentiate the two, let us first begin with their definitions. Science talks about the processes in the world that are based on observations, research, and experimentation, which means that they have evidence to support them. On the other hand, faith, or religion, is all about the beliefs of people and their compliance with the commandments of their God in order to be saved. Science and faith are incompatible, particularly when it comes to the creation of the Earth and the evolution of man.
